There is a part of the Foundation that is not always visible.

The people behind it.

The trustees.

They are not a large team.

They do not do this as a job.

They give their time.

Their attention.

Their care.

Every application is read.

Discussed.

Considered.

There are conversations.

Different perspectives.

Questions asked.

Time taken.

They carry responsibility.

To be fair.
To be consistent.
To make decisions that are right.

But alongside that, there is something else.

Care.

They understand that behind every application is a person.

Often someone going through something difficult.

That is not something they take lightly.

They do this quietly.

Without recognition.

Without expectation.

Because they believe in what the Foundation stands for.

And because they care about the people it supports.

The Foundation would not exist without them.

And the work they do matters more than people realise.
