Day 7: You’re Not Alone – Reflections and Support

Hidden Disabilities Awareness Week might be ending, but the reality of living with an invisible condition goes on.

Whether you live with fatigue, pain, trauma, neurodivergence, or mental illness — we hope this week has helped you feel seen, supported, and a little more understood.

The truth is, it can feel incredibly isolating to carry something others can’t see. But you’re not alone.

💬 This Week We’ve Talked About:
– What hidden disabilities are and why they matter
– Mental illness and stigma
– Fatigue, pacing, and chronic illness
– Navigating systems and benefits
– Neurodiversity and daily life
– Employment rights and discrimination

Each topic is just a starting point. And there’s so much more we want to share and create.

💛 What Helps:
– Being believed
– Support that adapts, not judges
– Financial help when you’re struggling
– Workplaces and systems that listen
– Permission to rest, cry, ask, advocate, and just be

You shouldn’t need to be in crisis to be cared for.

🫶 Final Words

Thank you for being part of this week. Thank you for showing up — however you could. And thank you for helping make the invisible, visible.

If you’re struggling, we’re here to help. Whether it’s a small grant, a listening ear, or simply knowing someone believes you — you deserve support.

💝 The Mark Hewitson Foundation exists because we know how hard life can get. And we believe in making things just that little bit easier, when and where it’s needed most.
