Christmas Kindness 2025 – How Can We Help This Year?

Last Christmas, thanks to your incredible generosity, we were able to make a real difference for families who’d faced unimaginable loss.
Together, we bought Christmas presents for 13 children – each of whom have lost a parent – through a partnership with WAY (Widowed and Young).

We also funded a family Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, helping them share a moment of warmth and togetherness at one of the hardest times of the year.

Those small acts of kindness meant more than words can express. They showed that even in the middle of grief, compassion still shines bright – that people do care, and that nobody has to face the festive season alone.

This year, as we prepare for Christmas 2025, we want to hear from you.
What do you think would make the biggest difference?
Maybe it’s helping a family afford a special meal, providing gifts for children who’ve lost a parent, funding warm coats or food vouchers – or something completely new that we haven’t thought of yet.

Your ideas and insights shape everything we do. The Mark Hewitson Foundation was created to honour one life by changing many – and we believe that real change starts with listening to the people who understand what need truly looks like.

So, we’d love to know:
✨ What support would have helped you or your loved ones most at Christmas?
✨ Where do you see the biggest gaps for people struggling this winter?
✨ How can we spread hope in practical, meaningful ways?

Please share your thoughts in the comments below or message us directly at dee@markhewitsonfoundation.org.
Together, we can make sure that this Christmas, nobody is forgotten – and every act of kindness keeps Mark’s legacy shining bright. Dx
